At The President, we value the wellbeing of our staff and guests. Now and always, your health and safety remains our top priority. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, comprehensive health and safety measures and standards of operations have been implemented throughout the hotel. These are in accordance with the guidelines provided by the South African Department of Health (NDoH), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), South African Government and World Health Organization (WHO).

We have launched SAFE ‘Sanitizing Academy For Employees’, which focuses on specialised training for all hotel staff incorporating global best practice. Our operational teams receive daily training using industry best practice according to global hygiene recommendations to ensure only the highest level of cleaning, sanitization and disinfection is maintained with a directive on limiting interaction.
We also constantly monitor occupancy levels and ensure the operational timings and capacities of each area in the hotel is optimum to ensure social distancing requirements. We have a dedicated onsite Health and Safety Manager to ensure all measures are strictly implemented and adhered to. Our Health and Safety Hotline (+27 67 375 3083) is available for assistance 24 hours a day providing 24/7 guest support.
